    Hi,

I noted that a reunion is coming up for BHP Newcastle. It's of great interest to me to find out if anyone knows of the former members of the Newcastle BHP company? I'm specifically looking for anyone old enough to know those who worked for the company around the 30's 40's or 50's?

Why? Because my grandfather worked for the company back then and I want to build up a profile of who the man was. I'm too young to have known him myself. Family information is one thing, but information through colleagues is more important.

So if anyone knows anything about Allan Hannaford, married to Harriet Hannaford, it would be greatly appreciated. You can tell me anything about him, as long as it's truthful.

    Cheers

    Hi Sully,
You could try the Australian Workers Union,
in Mayfield Newcastle they may be able to help.
I will send out to Ex BHP Workers to see if any body
    has any info.
Where did you hear about the reunion?

Another suggestion from one of our members.
Suggest the person contact the archives in Melbourne.
Should be able to find it on the net,
as part of the BHP Billiton site.

    Good luck.
