    The view from the tree of knowledge - looks like a phoenix rising. it's been a long slow process but the wait will be worth it. Just waiting for the slipway repairs to be completed then rebirth is complete.

    The big Genset has come aboard! With help from another of our generous supporters, Structural Cranes, the auxiliary power supply has been lifted into the engine room, about to be slid into position. Three new diesel fuel tanks are next.

    Work on the exterior of the ship is in full swing. Today the recently grit-blasted paddles get a new coat of paint. Soon they will be shiny and ready to get back into the water. Shipwright Tom's brother Will on the job.

    Dave the grit blaster from TW Woods is on the job cleaning the paddles for repainting. Equipment provided by Rodgers Bros, a good supporter and one of Newcastle's long heritage companies.
