I got fond memories of all my visits to B'meadow Loco - such is progress when it closed in 1994.
1)Can anyone advise of the current situation with the structure.
2) Does Rail Corp still own it?
3) is there any restoration proposals?
4) I gather there is no access to the area
joe,
there is a heritage group - the Broadmeadow Locomotive Group that is working on plans to reactivate it's rail heritage. if you want we can put you in touch with them. they are an incorporated group that meet and are mostly exemployees and rail buffs. they seem confident of success.
yes its locked up at present, but in excellent condition.

Gidday Bob
many thanks for your information, I have tried to ring a couple of times.
So there is a Broadmeadow Locomotive Group, yes their details of contact would be much appreciated. many many thanks for that.
well done for this site - very good. It is also nice to see Ipswich Railway Workshops pictures included - I am currently a QR heritage volunteer out there, and assist with walking tours when I get the chance.
Still miss the old NSW rail system though, although now it has almost changed out of sight.
thanks and regards
